Patient Engagement Associate

(Remote – Mexico)

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and empathetic Patient Engagement Associate to help strengthen the connection between MiSalud and the patients we serve. This role is critical to improving patient engagement, education, and health outcomes as we scale our impact across diverse communities in 2026. You will blend strong communication skills with a data-driven mindset to support patients, design engagement campaigns, and ensure our members fully benefit from MiSalud’s services.

The ideal candidate functions as a trusted guide for patients, helping them navigate their health journey while identifying opportunities to improve engagement strategies and operational processes. You will play a key role in maintaining a high-quality member experience while supporting a fast-growing telehealth platform that prioritizes culturally competent care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Support & Customer Engagement

  • Serve as the primary Customer Engagement point of contact, facilitating communication between clinicians and patients while resolving support issues efficiently. Proactively identify when a patient may need additional guidance or encouragement to improve their wellbeing and ensure they are successfully navigating MiSalud’s services.

2. Health Engagement Campaigns: Strategy & Execution

  • Lever AI tools to design, write, and execute targeted health engagement campaigns across SMS, phone calls, and other communication channels.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance to improve engagement strategies and help patients transition from reactive care to preventative health habits.
  • Track and improve engagement KPIs such as response rates, appointment bookings, and patient retention. Analyze campaign performance and share insights to continuously improve engagement strategies.

3. Enrollment Events & Community Connection

  • Participate in in-person health events at least once per quarter to introduce MiSalud services, build trust with patients, and help new members begin their health journey. Use these opportunities to better understand patients and gather insights that inform engagement strategies.

4. Process Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Document workflows and engagement processes to support team scalability as MiSalud grows. Identify opportunities to streamline operations, improve communication flows, and enhance the efficiency of Customer Engagement initiatives.

5. Health & Wellness Content Development

  • Design and develop culturally relevant health and wellness content to educate and engage patients across multiple channels. Create educational materials flyers, short-form content, and digital resources that can be distributed through the MiSalud platform, employer partners, and social media. Leverage AI tools and Canva to create assets that adhere to brand standards and patient literacy levels.

Qualifications

Required
  • Experience: 1–3 years in customer-facing support, marketing, sales, or similar roles.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English: Candidates must demonstrate a minimum B2 level of English proficiency.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience supporting customers or running engagement initiatives is a plus.
  • Self-Starter: Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities.
  • Detail-Oriented: Organized and process-driven, with strong attention to detail in a regulated healthcare environment.
  • Curious & Proactive: Willing to learn independently while knowing when to ask for help.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to the United States for enrollment and engagement events (valid passport and visa, if applicable).
  • Flexibility: Comfortable with flexible schedules typical of startup environments which focus on meeting objectives rather than clocking in and out.
Preferred
  • Experience in telehealth, digital health, or healthcare environments.
  • Experience using CRM systems, messaging platforms, or customer support tools (e.g., Zendesk, HubSpot, Twilio or similar).
  • A passion for marketing and/or content writing to engage users.
