About the Role

In this role, you are a licensed nutritionist in México and you will serve as a Nutrition Coach to our U.S. patients (since you are not licensed in the U.S.), and also as a Nutritionist to our patients in México. We are looking for a nutritionist who will bring strong clinical knowledge, ethical integrity,  and enjoys thinking outside of the box: comfortable proposing solutions to problems they see, iterating and measuring the impact of their solutions, and collaborating in a fast-paced digital, remote environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid professional license as a Nutritionist (Licenciado en Nutrición) or Master’s degree in Nutrition in México or Latin America.
  • Ideal of early-career professionals with 1-3 years of clinical or general nutrition counseling and a passion for digital health.
  • Excellent patient service and follow-up skills, with a commitment to providing comprehensive nutrition guidance and support.
  • Proven ability to deliver fully bilingual consultations conversational proficiency in both languages at least at B2+ level is essential.
  • Experience creating nutrition plans and support for conditions such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, and hormonal health concerns (e.g., PCOS, thyroid dysfunction).
  • Experience utilizing digital health platforms for patient care.

Nice to have:

  • Solid understanding and application of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and Nutrition Care Process (NCP)
  • An interest and openness to new ways of working to improve the lives of those in need, embodying resilience, adaptability, and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working on a multidisciplinary team or within an integrative behavioral health model.
  • Experience creating clinical programs and content related to nutrition and well-being.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based lifestyle interventions, such as diet and nutrition, for chronic disease prevention and management.
  • Experience adapting nutrition plans to different cultural, socioeconomic, and behavioral contexts.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver virtual, bilingual nutrition consultations in Spanish and English to patients in the U.S. and México through our digital platform.
  • Create and update electronic medical records, adhering to MiSalud protocols and documentation best practices.
  • Use motivational interviewing and behavioral strategies to support patients in adopting sustainable lifestyle changes aligned with clinical goals.
  • Conduct outreach via phone and SMS to re-engage patients who miss appointments or disengage from health programs.
  • Collaborate with MiSalud’s multidisciplinary team, including physicians, mental health professionals, and clinical coordinators.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to our tools, protocols, and evolving nutrition programs.
  • Learn and comply with relevant aspects of the U.S. healthcare system and patient privacy regulations (training provided).

Growth Opportunities:

  • Participate in the design or iteration of clinical nutrition programs or patient education content.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects with product, engineering, or customer engagement teams to enhance patient experience.
  • Attend and support in-person biometric & enrollment events in the U.S. or Mexico (at least once per year; travel support provided).
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, metabolic syndrome, PCOS) and develop specialized care pathways.
  • Help localize and adapt nutrition protocols to diverse cultural and behavioral health contexts.
  • Attend our in-person biometric & enrollment events in the U.S. or Mexico at least once per year to meet our members in person. Travel & logistics sponsored by the company.
