‍About the Role

MiSalud Health brings preventive health screenings directly to employer sites in and around Monterey County, CA. We are hiring bilingual Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) for our mobile CLIA-moderate screening program, launching March 2026.

In this role, you will travel to employer sites with portable diagnostic equipment, performing fingerstick blood draws and health screenings for Spanish- and English-speaking workers. This position is mostly fingerstick capillary collection and potentially venipuncture with a typical day involving approximately 30 patient encounters at a single location.

What Actually Matters to Us

• Clinical Precision: You perform fingerstick screenings using four POC devices and collect vitals including blood pressure, height, weight, BMI, and waist measurements.
• Compassionate Communication: You explain the purpose, procedures, and results of screenings to patients fluently in both Spanish and English.
• Operational Integrity: You maintain quality through daily QC checks on all devices, equipment setup, and consumable tracking.
• Extreme Ownership: You handle all documentation, including EHR data entry, QC logs, incident reporting, and medical waste disposal.

What You'll Work With

You will operate high-quality portable equipment provided by MiSalud:

• Devices and Tests: Abbott Afinion 2 (HbA1c), Abbott Cholestech LDX (Lipid Panel + Glucose + TG), and Abbott iSTAT 1 (Creatinine/eGFR). The iSTAT 1 is a CLIA-moderate-complexity device and may only be operated by personnel with an active California MLT or CLS license.
• Vital Screenings: BP, Weight, Height, BMI, Waist circumference.

What We're Looking For

• Active California Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) license and Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I) certificate
• Conversational proficiency in Spanish and English
• Strong skills in fingerstick/capillary/venipuncture blood draws
• Valid CA driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel daily within Monterey County, CA
• Prior experience with POC devices, mobile health screenings, or working with farmworker populations
