About MiSalud Health
MiSalud Health is on a mission to make healthcare accessible and affordable for all by removing barriers of language, cost, and circumstance. We believe that the future of medicine lies at the intersection of human expertise and technical creativity. Whether we are building cross-border platform integrations or pioneering AI-augmented care, we lead with compassion and precision to create meaningful change in the lives of our patients.
About the Role
MiSalud Health runs on-site health screening events at workplaces (which include laboratory tests, vaccinations, and medical appointments) in CA and other states. We are hiring a Laboratory Operations Lead to basically handle the physical setup, transport, and inventory management for these events.
Think of it like setting up a pop-up shop: you drive equipment to the location, unload and arrange everything so the health team can start on time, then pack it all up when the day is done. Between events, you keep the storage unit organized and supplies stocked.
This is a per-event 1099 contractor position. Typical engagement: between 3 and 8 hours per event day (storage + setup + teardown), with a monthly retainer for inventory/stock management.
What Actually Matters to Us
- Reliability Above All: You show up on time, every time. Setup starts about 2 hours before the event (sometimes as early as 4:00 AM). The health team depends on you to have everything ready.
- Precision Under Pressure: You follow a detailed checklist to load, transport, unpack, and arrange equipment at multiple workstations, and you do it right every time.
- Ownership of the Space: You keep the storage unit clean and organized, restock supply bins, and make sure all batteries and portable power stations are charged and ready for the next event.
- Physical Readiness: You handle repeated lifting (~35 lbs per equipment case), load and unload a cargo van, and set up tables, chairs, and privacy screens at the event site.
What You Will Do
Your work covers everything before, during, and after each event:
- Pre-Event: Pick up the rental vehicle, load equipment from storage following the checklist, make sure all supply bins are complete, and prepare items that need to stay cold for transport.
- Site Setup: Arrive before the health team, set up tables, chairs, privacy screens, and signage. Unpack and place equipment at each workstation, connect power, and set out supply bins.
- Site Teardown: Pack everything back into its cases, break down furniture, load the vehicle, and leave the site clean.
- Post-Event: Return equipment to storage, put everything back in its place, charge all batteries and power stations, and let the team know if any supplies need reordering.
- Inventory: Between events, keep track of supply levels, prepare reorder lists, receive and organize deliveries, rotate items that expire, and maintain accurate counts so nothing runs out on event day.
