Position Summary:

MiSalud Health is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business and Corporate Development Manager to play a critical role in expanding our market presence and service offerings. This individual will be instrumental in identifying, evaluating, and securing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in both the U.S. and Mexican healthcare ecosystems. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of financial acumen, strategic thinking, strong relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the healthcare landscapes in both countries.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Development & Management:

  • Identify, prospect, and cultivate relationships with new potential partners, including:
    - Insurance brokers and benefits consultants (in both US and Mexico).
    - Healthcare providers (hospitals, clinics, specialist networks) in Mexico.
    - Technology partners and other healthcare service providers.
  • Lead the entire partnership lifecycle from initial contact, due diligence, negotiation, to deal closing.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand MiSalud Health's network of healthcare providers in Mexico, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective service delivery for our members.
  • Manage and nurture existing partner relationships to maximize value and ensure long-term collaboration.

Financial Modeling & Analysis:

  • Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate potential partnerships, market opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify growth areas and inform strategic decisions.
  • Perform due diligence on potential partners and acquisition targets, assessing financial viability, operational synergy, and strategic fit.

Cross-Border Market Expansion:

  • Leverage deep understanding of both US and Mexican healthcare markets, regulatory environments, and cultural nuances to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategies for market entry and expansion in Mexico.
  • Navigate and build relationships with relevant government entities and regulatory bodies in Mexico to facilitate necessary approvals and ensure compliance.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Contribute to the development of MiSalud Health's overall corporate development strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., Operations, Product, Legal, Finance) to ensure seamless integration of new partnerships and initiatives.
  • Prepare and present compelling business cases, partnership proposals, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in business development, corporate development, strategy, or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in the healthcare sector.
  • Mandatory: Proven experience in a top-tier management consulting firm or investment banking background.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, negotiating, and closing complex deals and strategic partnerships.
  • Crucial: Direct experience working in both the United States and Mexico, with a strong understanding of the business, regulatory, and healthcare landscapes in both countries.

Skills:

  • Bilingual Fluency (English and Spanish) - Required: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages are essential for effective communication with partners, stakeholders, and internal teams across borders.
  • Strong Financial Modeling Expertise: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysis.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA or Master's degree highly preferred.
